Fall in Crested Butte

I spent the weekend in Crested Butte with Casey and Andy before Case gets married next weekend. We put in a couple of epic rides and had near perfect weather. Reno/Flag/Bear/Deadman and 401 make for an outstanding weekend...

Crested Butte - 5 Year Anniversary

Kel and I made our way to Crested Butte this weekend to celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary. We had a great time. The wildflowers were on full display, the weather was gorgeous, and we had enough to time to relax and operate sans schedule. A few pics below...

Kel and I went up to Vail this weekend so I could race in the Teva Mountain Games. I raced in the Expert class with the pro's (including 3 Olympians). Needless to say, it was humbling, but I felt like I rode fast. 17 miles and 4500 feet of climbing...the last climb was brutal. We had a great time...

Memorial Day 2009 - Moab

We had a great time in Moab. The rain came here and there, but just added a little variety and cooled it down a bit. Below are some pics.

Kel's B-Day Snowshoeing in Minturn, CO

Kel and I traveled to Minturn, CO to spend some time in the mountains for her birthday. At the last minute, we decided to leave on Friday night (around 9:30 PM) so we could avoid the worst of the weather and subsequent bad roads. Loveland Pass was pretty nasty, but we made it ok and stayed in a cheap Summit County hotel. Oddly, Kel was fired up because they had HBO. :)

The next day we made our way over Vail pass to Minturn where we stayed at the rustic Minturn Inn. We spent part of the day snowshoeing (see pics) and the rest was spent at Rick and Kelly's American Bistro in Edwards, CO where we watched the Final Four and had an enjoyable, long meal. After a nice breakfast this morning, we made our way home to avoid ski traffic and have some time to get ready for the week.

Big snow in Wolf Creek over President's Day. We had a great time with Cort and Larry/Lea and Darrin. Pinin' for another day of that powder!

Still Catchin Up

2009 is already flying by. We've been busy from the onset. Last weekend Kel and I journeyed down to Santa Fe to spend the weekend with Gma and Gpa at the Ranch with Lee. We had a great time. Below are some photos from the weekend. It took a bit to get them on the interwebs because my desktop PC had a "thermal event" last weekend. Typically, "thermal events" are not good for computers....and this was no exception. Thankfully, everything was backed up on an external hard drive so we didn't lose anything, but we were "forced" to replace it. We've gone over to the dark side. We picked up a beautiful, edgy, counter-culture MacBook. Good stuff. At this point, I doubt we'll go back. Once you go Mac, you never go back.

A Bit Behind..

I don't have the time to put together a full run down of our trip to the Virgin Islands, but I wanted to get some photos up (finally). Click below for the album of ~60 photos. I took around 300 total but as I looked through them, they all seem to be of the blue-green water. :) We had a great time (understatement).

Happy New Year

Kel and I enjoyed a very low key New Year's eve and we're sticking with what works for New Year's Day as well. We'll be making our way to Marley and Me in a little bit before dinner at Sauce with Case and Steph.

Case and I rode Green Mountain earlier this morning in calm 50 degree weather. It seems nice to start the year in the saddle... ;)
